About Your Massage Therapist
Prior to starting Balance Therapeutics, I worked for twenty years in the health care industry--in corporate human resources and as a Chief Executive Officer for a physical rehab hospital. My other educational background is in business, with a Master's Degree in Employee Relations. I am Certified at the National and State level, and completed my studies in massage at the world renowned Cayce-Reilly Institute in Virginia.
I enjoy helping others find a state of balance and wellness again, through the wonders of regular, therapeutic massage. I know what the effects of stress can be on an individual, and take pride in my ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life. I will take the time that is necessary to get to know you and what your needs are as you find the way back to your most healthy state. I incorporate many techniques as well as the use of infrared heat, hot/cold therapy, and aromatherapy; I also try to provide you with as much information as I can, and will point you in the direction of other resources as it is appropriate.
I've lived in the Kent Island Community since 2006, and love it here. I am actively involved in many local organizations, professional and civic, and am a member of a church in Queenstown along with my husband Michael. In 2009 I received the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the Queen Anne's County Chamber of Commerce. I was also voted Best Massage Therapist on the Eastern Shore by the readers of What's Up Magazine in 2008 and 2009.
I believe I am the luckiest woman in the world, being given this opportunity to help others find peace and relief, even when it's just for a short period of time. It will be an honor to have you as a client.
